This report contains detailed data on fertility and fertility desire in the Palestinian population in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. The estimates are based on preliminary results from the Palestinian Demographic Survey, which was carried out from April 29, 1995 to July 23, 1995 by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics in collaboration with the Institute for Applied Social Science (FAFO). The main purpose of this survey was to provide basic demographic estimates at both the national and district levels.
