12. Family Planning and Protection Association (West Bank). Mothers and the I.U.Ds. Jerusalem: FPPA, 1989: 63 pp.
A survey of 214 mothers who had dropped out from attendance at the Jerusalem center after IUD fitting was conducted to investigate the reasons for dropping out. The results showed that the motive for using IUD was birth spacing and that most mothers who dropped out had the IUD removed by another doctor. Inflammation, bleeding, spontaneous expulsion and pregnancy were common reasons for removal.
