This study aims at estimating the discontinuation rate of family planning acceptors using modern contraceptive methods, the method specific discontinuation rate and to identify the characteristics of continuing and discontinuing users and the most common reasons for discontinuation. A retrospective cross sectional design was adopted. The discontinuation rate of the West Bank field for all the methods was 14.9%. The method specific discontinuation for IUDs was 6.26%, for pills 16.7% for condoms 29.2% and for spermicides 26.8%.
