The study was conducted at the UNRWA MCH centers all over the West Bank Field. The objective of the study was to assess the effect of UNRWA’s family planning program on contraceptive practices during its third year of implementation. The study covered all mothers of children 0-3 years of age that came to the health centers during November 1995. The sample size was 1363 mothers. Prevalence of modern contraceptive use was 34%. Modern contraceptive use increased with parity, women who have 1-3 children have the lowest level of use, women with 4-6 children have the highest level of use
