43. Al-Haq. A Nation Under Siege. Al-Haq, Ramallah, 1989, 335 pp.

Chapter two of the report describes violations of human rights related to medical treatment during the uprising. Sworn affidavits are reported that illustrate a systematic pattern of human rights violations by the Israeli army. The violations include obstructing the medical treatment of injured people, mistreatment of the injured, obstruction of ambulances and other vehicles transporting the wounded, violations of the right to medical neutrality, mistreatment of prisoners in Israeli hospitals and various other restrictions on health care.
It is concluded that the extent of the medical human rights violations in the Occupied Territories cannot be justified.
