Live ammunition, rubber bullets, tear gas and reinforced batons are used by the Israeli army against the Palestinian civilian population in the Occupied Territories. This causes injuries, long-term or permanent disabilities and deaths. Medical institutions face the problem of inadequate emergency medical services. Israeli soldiers have forcibly entered hospitals to arrest injured persons, beating medical staff and patients and destroying medical equipment and supplies. Ambulances have been denied access to locations where violent incidents took place or delayed en-route to hospitals. Curfews interrupt regular services of the clinics.
