Life conditions of Palestinian children under the Israeli occupation are described in terms of socio-economic status, health services and education. Next, the effects of the Intifada on children are described, including physical injuries and psycho-social consequences. A special section focuses on mental and behavioral problems of Palestinian children, based on secondary data and case studies. The authors suggest that the Intifada, in its first three years, has generated positive feelings of hope, self-esteem, confidence and affinity.
