The approval or non-approval of USAID funded projects in the West Bank and Gaza is reviewed using original agency data between 1977 and 1983. Out of a total submitted budget of US 66 million dollars, 6 million dollars were allocated to health in 14 projects. 5 million dollars from the 6 million were "local contributions" meaning contributions from Jordan. 10 of the projects were approved and 4 were disapproved.
