This paper was presented by the Italian Cooperation as a basis for policy discussion in a seminar on developing the Palestinian health system. The paper discusses issues related to international support of health services for Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, Syria, the West Bank and Gaza Strip. It also presents the Italian vision of problems and limitations of the policy formulation process by the Palestinian Authority. Solutions and suggestions in various aspects of the health system are proposed.
