This report is the forth of the West Bank Rural PHC Survey series. It provides a description of the districts of Nablus and the Jordan Valley. Similar information as in previous reports of the West Bank Rural PHC Survey is presented.
Fifty-three rural communities with a population of about 145,000 persons are identified and surveyed in the Nablus district. Twenty-three percent of the rural population are registered refugees. Sixty-seven clinics are located in thirty-three rural communities.
Fourteen rural communities with a population of 18,860 persons are identified and surveyed in the Jordan Valley district. Fifty-two percent of the rural population are registered refugees. Fourteen clinics are located in seven rural communities. Detailed descriptive information about the health care system in both districts is presented.
