The authors indicate that measles still occurs in Israel, the West Bank and Gaza Strip despite the immunization strategies adopted in the area. In order to eradicate the disease, the authors suggest a substantial expansion of the current immunization program that requires the immunization of infants only. The authors suggest a two-dose immunization program in addition to a possible booster dose for school children.
