This report provides health professionals, researchers and policy-markers with information about most common types of cancer morbidity and mortality by age, sex, residence, in order to help stimulating new research, assisting in planning and monitoring cancer control strategies and for identifying priorities in public health. National Cancer Registries (NCR) were established in 1996 under the umbrella of MOH as an important public health tools in order to define the size of the cancer problem and pattern of cancer occurrence and to make the best use of limited public resources in Palestine.
