30. Abu Saffiyeh, Y. A Project. Environmental Protection Center, Gaza, 10 pp. [Undated]
A review of the environmental situation in the Gaza Strip is presented. The absence of regional planning in different aspects of life resulted in a change in the environmental equilibrium. Sources of chemical environmental pollution include pesticides, insecticides, rodenticides, herbicides, fungicides, nematicides, growth regulators and fertilizers. Deterioration of water quality, air and soil pollution are major problems in the Gaza Strip.
The establishment of an environmental protection center to prevent and monitor sources of pollution, spread environmental awareness and appreciation is needed.
