This report is based on data and information collected through a before-and-after study conducted on a random sample population of primary schoolchildren in the West Bank. The study’s objectives were to assess the degree of improvement of pupils’ knowledge, attitudes and practices inherent in and consistent to specific health related subjects among primary schoolchildren of different grades who were exposed to the School Health Promotion Pilot Project activities. The main findings of the first stage assessment indicated a high level of positive attitudes among the sample population, which was not expected before any intervention taking place in Palestine.
