25. Disi, N. and Al-Quayem, M. S. Congenital Anomalies of the Spleen: A Report of Three Cases. Bull. Palest. Ch. Soc. 1995; 1,3: 287-290.

In this paper, three cases of congenital abnormalities of the spleen, diagnosed and surgically treated at Makassed Hospital, are reported. One case of splenogonadal fusion was accidentally discovered during a medical examination for acute abdominal pain. In another case, a splenic epidermoid cyst was discovered during a routine medical examination of a left upper quadrant mass. A CT scan diagnosed the final patient, suffering from progressive abdominal distension and fever, as having splenic torsion.
