This report presents preliminary estimates on the most important indicators pertinent to quantities of household food consumption in the Palestinian Territory. The findings of this report are mainly based on data available from the Palestinian Expenditure and Consumption Survey (PECS). Emphasis has been made on the main items pertinent to quantities of household food and other goods consumption without addressing classification of goods and commodities types. The survey showed that the average quantity of household monthly consumption of cereals products and bread was 61.4kg, meat and poultry 21.5kg, fish and sea products 1.4kg; dairy products 8.6kg, eggs 4.4kg, fats and oils 6.6kg, fruits and vegetables s 74.3kg, sugar 13.3kg, salt 2.5kg, and average consumption of water was 15.9m3.
